I know, I'm arriving late at the party for posting the trailer for the upcoming Green Lantern movie. Reviews have been mixed but I think it's going to be fun while retaining a lot of the dramatic elements of Geoff John's "Secret Origin" update for the character.
There's actually quite a bit riding on the success of this movie as it's the first time DC Comics has had a major character other than Batman or Superman featured in a motion picture (sorry Shaq fans but no one ever remembers "Steel"). Here's hoping it's worth the wait and they knock it out of the park. As much as I'm looking forward to seeing Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan on the big screen, if this succeeds then maybe The Flash will finally make it out of development hell.
